How to Assemble the Remington 6

The Remington Model 6 is a vintage, target and small-game hunting rifle that was largely popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The rifle was designed as a single-shot, breach-loading rifle chambered for .22 and .32 caliber rimfire bullets, with primer located along the rim of the casing. The most common Model 6 rifles use .22 caliber bullets. These rifles were solidly built and simple to operate, featuring a simple takedown assembly/disassembly system. The Model 6 separates into two major pieces--the barrel/fore-grip and the receiver/stock. Before handling the rifle, open the breach and make sure the rifle is unloaded.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the barrel assembly on top of the receiver, aligning the takedown screw hole on the bottom of the barrel with the hole on the bottom of the receiver.

    • 2

Place the retention screw with the knurled end into the screw hole.

    • 3

Tighten the screw with your fingers. Your Remington Model 6 is now assembled.
