How do I Use Safariland ALS Holsters?

Safariland ALS holsters are designed for tactical purposes. They position your handgun midway down your thigh--much lower than conventional-duty holsters. ALS holsters will accommodate the majority of modern full-sized pistols. The holster is constructed of a tough polymer plastic, and the interior is lined with suede to protect your weapon's finish. When your pistol is placed in the holster, it securely locks into position and can only be removed with a straight pulling action.

Instructions

    • 1

Undo the three plastic retention buckles located on the holster's straps. There is one strap directly on top of the holster, which secures to your belt, and two on the sides of the holster which secure the holster to your leg.

    • 2

Place the strap so that it is secured by your belt--behind and over. Reattach the retention buckle and adjust the strap so that the holster is appropriately positioned along the length of your leg. Position the holster so that it's comfortable for you and still provides you quick access to your pistol.

    • 3

Adjust the leg straps so that they securely hold the holster against your leg and secure the retention buckles. Make sure that the straps are secure, but not so tight that they interfere with your circulation.

    • 4

Insert your pistol straight down into the holster until the weapon locks into position. To draw your pistol, pull it straight out of the holster with a single motion.
