How do I Mount a Trijicon ACOG on a Remington 7615 Rifle?

The Remington model 7615 is a pump action rifle chambered in .223 caliber. The rifle design is based on the Remington 870 shotgun; its magazine uses standard AR-15 magazines. On the top of the rifle's upper receiver find the pre-drilled and taped holes with which you can attach a Weaver-style scope mount. The Trijicon Advanced Combat Optical Gun Sight (ACOG) comes standard with Weaver-style scope rings pre-installed. Like the 7615, ACOG was designed for tactical operations.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the screw plugs located on top of the rifles upper receiver with a small flat-head screwdriver.

    • 2

Place the Weaver-style mount into position and secure it using the screws that came with the mount.

    • 3

Loosen the retention screws at the base of the weaver scope rings--on the Trijicon ACOG--and widen the ring's retention bracket.

    • 4

Place the scope on the mount with the retention screws inserted into the slots that are cut across the mount. Align the brackets over the sides of the mount and tighten the retention screws, thereby securing the scope.
