How do I Get a Silencer for a Handgun in Missouri?

A silencer diminishes the sound of a rapport from a firearm. Missouri is a difficult state in which to purchase a silencer, but it can be done. An everyday shopper cannot simply stroll into a gun shop and purchase a silencer as they can with a gun, even though several gun stores have them. Purchasing a silencer requires a Federal Firearms License (FFL), according to Missouri statute 571.020. Several FFL's exists, but a collectors and relics (C&R) license is the easiest to acquire.
