How to Use Leupold STD Mount Windage Screws

Leupold STD mounts are equipped with screws on the rear mount that can be adjusted for windage. Windage is the scope movement along the horizontal plane (left and right). For those instances when the required correction exceeds those that can be made with the scope adjustment, the entire scope mount can be adjusted with the STD windage screws. To move the scope̵7;s center of aim right, you will have to move the rear of the scope left and vice versa.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the chamber and make sure your weapon is not loaded.

    • 2

Move the scope right by turning the windage screw on the right side of the scope clockwise (this action will move the rear of the scope left). Move the scope left by turning the windage screw on the left side of the scope clockwise (thereby moving the rear of the scope right).

    • 3

Continue to make fine adjustments until you̵7;re satisfied with the scope position.
