Instructions
Tear a piece of masking tape about 3 inches long off the roll. Stick the end of the tape onto the edge of a table with the remainder of the tape hanging down off the table.
Press the clip retainer on the bottom of the pistol with one hand while holding the pistol with the other hand. Slide the ammunition clip out of the pistol and set it aside.
Hold the pistol in one hand. Firmly grasp the top of the chamber with the other hand. Slide the chamber backward. Lean the pistol over to deposit a bullet onto the table. Observe the chamber to ensure whether it is empty.
Place a small flathead screwdriver on the screw in the pistol handgrip. Turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen it. Remove the screw by pulling it straight out.
Remove the masking tape from the table, and stick the edge of it on a forefinger.
Set the pistol on a table. Slowly remove the side of the grip that is pointing up. As soon as the internal spring and detent pin are visible in the handle, place the masking tape over them onto the metal handle to hold them in place.
Turn the pistol over. Remove the other side of the grip without disturbing the spring and pin in the handle.
Place needle-nose pliers on the lock washer in the old pistol grip and pull it out.
Place the lock washer in the new pistol grip over the screw hole on the inside of the grip.
Place the new grip over the handle on the backside without the masking tape. Set the pistol flat on the table. Pull the masking tape off without disturbing the pin and spring.
Place the second half of the grip onto the handle.
Put the screw into the grip and turn it clockwise to tighten the new grip in place.
