How to Adjust Traditions Rifle Scopes

Traditions rifle scopes offer four models of variable power scopes that are reliable and relatively inexpensive. The scopes feature 1/4-inch minute of angle (MOA) reticle adjustments which move the reticles 1/4 inch on a target at 100 meters for each click of the dials. They are constructed of aluminum and are waterproof, shockproof and fogproof. Tradition scopes are designed for use with shotguns, center fire rifles or muzzleloader rifles. All Tradition scopes are protected with a lifetime warranty.

Instructions

    • 1

Sight in your scope with the adjustment dials on the top and the right side of the scope. Turn the top dial clockwise to bring the cross-hairs down or counter-clockwise to move them up. Turn the right side dial clockwise to move the cross-hairs left or counter-clockwise to move them right.

    • 2

Adjust the scope magnification settings by turning the variable power ring on the eyepiece to the desired magnification.

    • 3

Set the parallax correction dial, located on the left side of the scope next to the cross-hair adjustment dials, to the range of the target. Parallax is an optical illusion, caused by a shifting line of sight, of target movement. Parallax is commonly encountered at long range and high magnification.
