Function
Slavia rifles use the break barrel system to cock and load the rifle. The barrel is used as a lever which, when pulled down, draws back the rifle spring and opens the chamber. After a pellet is placed in the chamber, the lever is returned to the up position and is ready to fire.
Pellets
Slavia air rifles use .117 caliber pellets and any commercial .117 pellets are acceptable. However, for best results, the manufacturer recommends Diablo brand seven grain pellets.
Trigger Pull
The trigger pull on Slavia rifles is adjustable by removing the stock and loosening the trigger spring, located just behind the trigger. Slavia rifles are preset to the highest trigger tension.
Ranging
The sights on Slavia air rifles are preset by the factory to 10 meters. The sights can be adjusted for greater ranges by changing the sight elevation dial to a higher number. These numbers are for reference only and are not meant to indicate any specific range.
Cleaning
The air rifle should be cleaned after approximately 300 to 400 shots or every three months (whichever comes first). Clean the rifle by passing a dry patch through the barrel and wiping down the metallic surfaces with gun oil. Store the rifle in a dry environment.
