How to Mount a Scope on an SKS

Mounting a scope on your SKS rifle requires that you replace the rifle's receiver cover with one that accommodates scopes. Replacement receiver covers are available with scope rings pre-installed or with weaver style scope mounts attached. Many tactical scopes are equipped with weaver style scope rings, which may make choosing the replacement cover with weaver mounts a more versatile choice. Always verify that your rifle is unloaded before attempting to make any modification the weapon.
