How to Install a Magpul CTR Stock

The Magpul CTR Stock is a replacement stock for the AR-15 rifle with a standard collapsible stock. Magpul CTR stocks are durable, lightweight and easy to operate. The stocks feature a streamlined design to avoid snags and to hold the stock firmly in place. An advantage of the Magpul CTR stock is its supplemental friction lock system, which eliminates stock movement and enhances the rifle's stability. The stock also has a rubber butt plate to provide the shooter with greater comfort.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure your rifle is unloaded before changing the stock.

    • 2

Flip the position switch on the collapsible stock to the full upright position. This releases the stock. Slide the stock off the buffer tube.

    • 3

Squeeze the new stock's position lever (located in the center of the stock) and insert a small steel rod through the hole in front of the position lever. Pull the rod toward the stock body (the steel rod is holding the stock cylinder open).
