Leupold Index Matched Lens System
All Mark 4 tactical scopes are integrated with the Leupold Index Matched Lens System, a process utilizing different coating materials for each lens (depending on lens placement, function and specific light refraction). This provides the Mark 4 scopes with their legendary clear visuals.
Windage and Elevation Adjustments
Mark 4 scopes are equipped with crosshair adjusting dials that are easily accessible and adjustable by hand (most conventional scopes require a screwdriver, although a coin will work, to adjust the crosshairs). The scopes feature ¼ minute of angle (MOA) adjustments that can be measured by audible clicks. MOA is the unit of measure, based on an inch, commonly used with rifle scopes.
Parallax Adjustment
Parallax error is the illusion of target movement caused by a change in the shooter's line of sight through the scope. Most tactical scopes can manually compensate for parallax with an adjustment to the far end of the scope. Mark 4 scopes have conveniently placed the parallax adjustment dial on the left side of the scope (adjacent to the windage and elevation dials); allowing the shooter to quickly compensate for parallax at different ranges.
Crosshair Magnification
The crosshairs of Mark 4 scopes magnify in conjunction with adjustments to the scope's power, giving shooters a great advantage with estimating range. Range can be estimated by counting the number of tick marks that the target takes up on the crosshairs. The Mark 4 makes this easy by keeping the size of the crosshairs relative to the size of the target.
Mark 4 Durability
Leupold produced the Mark 4 to meet and exceed military standards. The Mark 4 is designed to perform exceptionally well regardless of the conditions. Mark 4 scopes are completely waterproof and shock resistant.
