Production History
The forerunner of the MP-25 (the model P-25) was designed in the late '60s and began production in 1970. In 1984 it was replaced with the MP-25. The Raven Arms closed in 1991; by that time approximately 2 million MP-25 pistols had been produced.
Pistol Description
The MP-25 is a gas-operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in .25 ACP. The pistol uses a detachable magazine with a six-round capacity. The handgun comes with wooden grips, and it can be easily concealed.
The MP-25 Safety
The difference between the P-25 (this pistol's predecessor) and the MP-25 is that the MP-25 features a rotating safety switch that (when on) locks the slide in a closed position.
Serial Numbers
The MP-25 pistol has a serial number stamped along the back of the grip. The serial numbers of the P-25 continued on as the MP-25 was introduced. The early MP-25 pistols featured six-digit serial numbers but quickly moved on to seven-digit serial numbers.
Parts Availability
Raven Arms went out of business in 1991, therefore original parts are scarce. However, aftermarket parts are being produced and available.
