Safety and Sights
The safety is on the bolt, if it is up, it is on. The gun cannot be fired.
If it is down, it is off. The gun is ready to shoot. This was designed so there was no doubt in the shooters mind that the safety is on.
The standard sights are iron and a very accurate. But many people put a scope on their bolt action rifle, which increases the accuracy.
Line up the rear sight and the front sight, with your target.
Loading and Firing
The bolt action rifle can be loaded with a single round into the chamber, or with a stripper clip into the magazine. Pull back the bolt and a round is lifted from the magazine.
Push the bolt forward and the round goes into the chamber. The gun is ready to fire.
Line up the sights and squeeze the trigger.
Be sure to keep both eyes open, and always point the gun down range.
Pull the bolt back, and the spent shell is ejected. Another round is lifted, and ready to be chambered. You are now ready to push the bolt forward and fire again.
