How to Attend a Local Gun Show

Gun shows are popular places for gun enthusiasts to get more information about guns. Gun shows typically allow attendants the chance to purchase firearms, accessories and other gun related items. Shows are usually held in a large meeting area and are open to the public for a small entrance fee. Sellers, buyers and collectors all benefit from local gun shows.

Instructions

  1. Go to a Local Gun Show

    • 1

Find a local gun show to attend. Visit Gunshows-USA.com online or call local gun vendors and ask if they have any information about gun shows coming to the area (see Resources below).

    • 2

Pay the gun show entrance fee. Fees cover access to gun show tables and vendors, and pay for any entertainment or other informational materials available for free upon entrance to the show.

    • 3

Consider attending a Web based gun show. Attending a gun show over the Internet allows browsers to peruse guns without paying a fee. Internet gun shows also allow dealers to sell guns for a much lower fee or percentage of sales.

    • 4

Familiarize yourself with gun show rules and gun laws that regulate gun shows in Title 18 Section 922 of U.S. Code (see Resources below). Be aware that guns at shows are required to be unloaded and all ammunition must be sealed in containers.

    • 5

Ask about renting a table if you are a collector interested in selling your items at a local gun show. Information can be gathered about fees and regulations for gun show participation at any local show for future shows.

    • 6

Expect local gun shows to be held on the weekends. Use your days off work as an opportunity to browse guns or find out more about gun history and use.
