How to Restore a Suitcase With Stickers

Restore a suitcase surface quickly and easily with stickers. In the 19th century, manufacturers designed travel suitcases that could stand up to harsh travel and weather conditions; they were built to last. Consequently, many modern-day collectors own suitcases that are over 100 years old. Vintage suitcases, though, often have some degree of damage to their exteriors. Apply a selection of high-quality stickers to your suitcase to cover up flaws and add decorative flair.

Instructions

    • 1

Rub the corner of a damp towel against a bar of soap for a few seconds.

    • 2

Use the soapy towel to clean the entire surface of the suitcase. Use gentle, circular motions. Exert more force in areas where debris or stains are deeply ingrained.

    • 3

Rinse out the towel and wipe down the suitcase to remove soap residue. Allow the suitcase to dry thoroughly.

    • 4

Place a sticker over a soiled or cracked area of the suitcase. Use your thumbs to press out all air bubbles. Repeat this process until the suitcase is covered with as many stickers as desired.
