Things You'll Need
Instructions
Measure the length of each car. Add the numbers together to get a total for all the cars. This tells you how much shelf space you need for your collection. For a very large collection, you may choose to display the cars at an angle. This also has the advantage of showing off the front grill of the car as well as the side.
Purchase a hutch. The hutch, with its closed doors, keeps dust away from your collection while the clear glass doors keep your cars visible. Choose a hutch that matches the theme of the cars. If you have a collection of old-fashioned cars, look for a hutch that matches the period for the cars. If you have a collection of modern race cars, purchase a hutch with sleek, modern lines. Look for a used or older hutch that you can paint if you desire.
Spray the glass doors with glass cleaner and wipe any dirt with paper towels. Clean the inside and out of the glass doors. Wipe the shelves of the hutch.
Dust the die cast cars with the sable paintbrush. The soft bristles remove the dust without damaging the tiny car parts or scratching the paint.
Arrange the cars on the shelf of the hutch.
