Things You'll Need
Instructions
Dampen a cloth rag or sponge and wipe the outside of the helmet. Remove any dirt or grass that may have accumulated around the facemask bars.
Use a mild, nonabrasive cleanser or liquid dish soap to clean any surface dirt that cannot be removed with water alone. Avoid any areas that are autographed. Dry the helmet thoroughly.
Spray a disinfecting deodorizing spray inside the helmet to neutralize any bacteria or smells. Allow the helmet to air dry for at least 24 hours.
Place the helmet in a specially designed acrylic or glass helmet display case. Wrap the helmet completely in plastic wrap if you do not have a display case.
