Lladro is a Spanish company renowned for creating high-quality porcelain figurines. These figurines, often referred to as Lladro pieces, are collected by admirers all over the world. The notoriety of these figurines has lead to imitations and counterfeits. You may want to authenticate any Lladro pieces, retired or otherwise, when purchasing from a third-party dealer.

      Make sure that the information given in the certificate of authenticity coincides with the description of your retired piece. Find your retired Lladro on the company's website or a catalog. The authenticity card should accurately describe your Lladro piece.

      Locate the reference number on the bottom of your retired Lladro piece. Enter this reference number in the search bar at the company's website. Ensure that the Lladro piece returned from this search is identical to the piece you have in your possession.

      Take a picture of your retired Lladro piece. Take another picture of the bottom on your Lladro piece. Be sure to include the reference number and engraved logotype in one of the pictures.
