Hall Teapot Styles

Originally founded by Robert Taggart Hall in 1903, the Hall China Company has more than 100 years of experience in the manufacture of china cookware and dinnerware. Now a part of the Homer Laughlin China Company, it continues to produce a range of pieces at its manufacturing plant in East Liverpool, Ohio. This includes teapots in a few different styles.
  1. Boston Teapot

    • The Boston teapot design has four variations, although the rounded body shape, angular-styled handle, and spout remain the same in all. The variations relate to the cover style and size of the teapot. The first cover type has a knob on top, and teapots in this style come in 10 oz and 16 oz sizes. The second type has a sunken cover, with the handle set into it. Teapots with this cover type come in sizes of 8 oz and 10 oz capacity.

    London Teapot

    • The London teapot style is a one-piece pot, with the top left half open to allow placement of tea and water into the pot. The handle has a semicircular shape, with the metal-tipped spout providing the pot with a distinctive appearance. This teapot comes in a 16 oz capacity size.

    Flatside Teapot

    • One of the smaller pots in the Hall beverage and cups collection, the Flatside teapot has a capacity of 8 oz. The design of the teapot has a rounded body with flattened sides, an angular handle, and a short spout. The lid of the teapot sits inside the top opening, with a knob providing the means of lifting it.

    No Drip Teapot

    • For those that like a teapot that will not drip from the spout when pouring, the No Drip teapot can prove a good choice. This two-piece teapot has a circular shaped body, semi-circular shaped handle, and the longer spout has a design to stop it dripping. The cover with knob has a design which includes a small hole, and this feature can also help to stop the spout dripping. This teapot comes in a 12 oz capacity size.

    Colors

    • Hall chinaware teapots can come in a few different lead-free colors, with the final glaze giving the piece an attractive appearance. Options include white and black, although for a more colorful finish, the teapots can come in shades of red, blue and green. In total, Hall has 16 standard colors to choose from.
