Hold the chips under warm running water to help rinse away loose dirt and dust.
Add 1 tbsp. of a mild bleach-free liquid dish soap to 1 cup of warm water.
Dip a soft cloth into the soapy water and gently wipe the chips to remove caked-on dirt.
Dip a soft bristle brush into the soapy water and gently brush away stubborn dirt and debris, especially between small ridges on the chip.
Rinse the chips under warm running water to eliminate dirt and soap, which may leave a residue.
Pat the chips with a soft, dry towel to absorb excess moisture before setting the chips on a towel to finish air drying.
