Instructions
Purchase three Bakugan toy figures, three differently colored Bakugan Gate cards and three differently colored Bakugan Ability cards for each player. Also purchase a Bakugan game mat. The items are available for purchase at most toy stores.
Place each player's cards face down. The Bakugan logo should be visible, facing upward. Keep the players' Bakugan figures closed in the sphere or marble form.
Put the Bakugan game mat onto a flat, even-leveled surface. Bakugan players sit about 2 1/2 feet from each other.
Place one "Bakugan" Gate card face down on top of the game mat in front of each player. Say the phrase, "Gate card set," and set the Gate cards in this way every time the game mat's Gate card field is empty.
Grab one Bakugan toy figure, and say, "Bakugan brawl."
Allow the youngest player to have the first turn in the game. That player rolls the Bakugan toy figure toward the Gate cards. If the figure opens and transforms into a small toy monster, and if it is the only figure that lands on a Gate card, then it is the next player's turn. If the Bakugan toy figure opens and is the player's second toy figure that lands on the same Gate card, however, then the player wins the Gate card and places both figures and Gate card on his used pile on the game mat.
If the toy figure does not open or transform after it is rolled, place the Bakugan toy figure on another Gate card. If the Gate card on which the toy figure lands does not have the opponent's figure on it, then it is the next player's turn. If the Gate card on which the toy figure lands does has the opposing player's toy figure on it, though, then the players perform a "battle."
Engage in a battle by grabbing and removing both toy figures from a Gate card and reading the G-Power number printed at the center of each Bakugan figure.
Read the Gate card, and perform the card's instructions or description. Each Gate card's instructions and description are different from those of other Gate cards.
Withdraw a Bakugan Ability card, and perform the card's instructions or description. All Ability cards have different instructions and descriptions. Place the Ability card on the used pile.
Locate the number on the Gate card's colored symbol that matches the color of the Bakugan toy figure. Add the Gate card's number to the figure's G-Power number. The player with the higher number gains a higher G-Power, wins the game and places the Gate card on the used pile.
If each player has the same number, then roll another Bakugan toy figure. The first figure to land on a Gate card determines the game's winner.
Alternatively, the first player to gain three Gate cards in her used pile wins the game.
