How to Fix a Broken SillyBand

Silly Bandz® are strips of silicone made into shaped bracelets. Invented by Robert Croak, there are hundreds of different shapes available, from princesses to sports equipment. Even custom shapes are available. The bands are very popular among elementary school children, but they are not invincible. They break often, which can be a source of great sadness for a child, especially if the broken one is a favorite. Fortunately, fixing them is an easy task.

Things You'll Need

  • Super glue
  • Pencil with an eraser end

Instructions

    • 1

Lay the broken Silly Band on your kitchen counter. Place one drop of super glue on each broken end. Use your fingers to join the two ends together.

    • 2

Press the eraser end of a pencil to the joined area. Apply pressure for two minutes to form a good bond. Peel the end of the pencil from the band. Immediately remove the Silly Band from the kitchen counter to avoid it being glued to the surface.

    • 3

Let the glue dry according to package directions. Wipe up any glue residue from the kitchen counter. Wash the glue off your fingers.
