Storage
Yogurt containers can be used for storage in a lot of different ways. You can freeze fruits, vegetables and soups in the 16-oz. containers to save space in your freezer. You can also store bulk items in them, like dried beans and grains, as opposed to using canning jars. Spices can be stored in the smaller, individual yogurt containers. The wider mouths make it easier to scoop out the spices you need.
Gardening
Yogurt containers can be used to begin growing seedlings. The smaller containers can be used until they begin to outgrow them, then you can transfer them to a 16-oz. container. You can use this method for herbs, flowers and other plants that don't require a lot of soil.
Food
Yogurt cups can be used to hold gelatin snacks or homemade pudding. You can also make your own popsicles by filling the container half full with juice and covering it with aluminum foil. Just cut a slit in the foil large enough for a popsicle stick and freeze. Leftovers can be kept in yogurt containers, as well as cookie dough that has been pre-made.
Crafts
There are many options for crafting with yogurt containers. They can be used to make a crocheted cupcake gift box, or a decoration to hang from the ceiling in your child's room. A container can be used as a mini-flowerpot for any craft that requires one, as well as to make a mini-Christmas tree. These containers can also be used to hold paint or beads for use in a craft.
