How to Paint Space Marine Eyes

Space marine figurines, a popular figuring for collectors, are highly customizable. Some people paint their space marines a new color or touch up their eyes or helmets. If you wish to keep your space marine in pristine condition, touch up the paint color instead of giving the design an overhaul. Typically, space marines come in three paint colors: blue, green and yellow. Typically, blue space marines have red eyes. Green space marines have yellow eyes. Orange space marines have green eyes.

Things You'll Need

Black acrylic paint
Yellow, green or red acrylic paint
White acrylic paint
Small paint brush

Instructions

  Place the space marine on a flat surface, such as a table. Place an old newspaper underneath the space marine to protect the table from paint.

  Open the bottle of black paint. Dip a small paintbrush in the black paint. Paint the entire eye with the black paint. Allow this paint to dry slightly.

  Dip the paintbrush in red, yellow or green paint, depending on the color of the space marine's suit.

  Paint the middle of eye, leaving a small line of black. Allow this paint to dry and clean off your brush.

  Dip the paintbrush in a bright white paint. Paint a small dot in the back corner of the space marine's eye. Do the same for the other eye. This creates the appearance that light is hitting the eye.

  Allow the paint to dry overnight before using your space marine figurine.
