Register for an Etsy account. Write interesting descriptions of your jewelry to attract attention of shoppers. Take two or three photographs of each piece of jewelry with a digital camera. Upload clear pictures of each jewelry piece into your item description. Measure your jewelry and be specific about dimensions in your item descriptions. Include at least one picture of each piece of jewelry against a body part or ruler to provide a visual reference. Search for other listings of similar coin jewelry to set a competitive asking price. Set up a PayPal account so buyers can pay you. Publish your listing.
Sign up for a table or booth at a local market or craft fairs. Prepare attractive, user-friendly displays for your table. Make tags for your jewelry with interesting item descriptions and prices. Be informative to people who stop by your table or booth. Allow shoppers to handle jewelry pieces and try them on if they ask to. Invest in attractive gift bags and business cards that include your phone number or email address. Tell shoppers they can contact you with questions after the fair is over. Respond promptly to inquiries.
Visit boutiques in your area that specialize in vintage and handmade jewelry. Show the boutique owner samples of your coin jewelry and ask if they carry items for sale on consignment. Agree to boutique terms in writing if you decide to place some of your items for sale. Keep a copy of your contract. Consignment stores generally keep between 30 to 60 percent of the item sales price. Your agreement should also include the consignment period, when you'll get paid if an item sells, and what happens to your item if it doesn't sell with in the consignment period. Leave your contact information with the boutique, and respond promptly to phone calls, emails or text messages about your jewelry.
Ask customers to sign up for your email list. Sign up for an account at Constant Contact, an Email marketing solutions company, Create Email newsletters and notices using Contact Contact tools, to inform your customers of new items and special discounts. Set up a Facebook page for your business. Invite people on your Email list to become your Facebook friend. Upload pictures of interesting pieces of your coin jewelry inventory to your Facebook photo album. Reach out to other coin-jewelry enthusiasts on Facebook by using the "Like" button or by submitting "Friend" requests. Add "Status" updates to your Facebook page to communicate with coin jewelry enthusiast friends, and keep them informed about where they can find your jewelry.
