Instructions

    • 1

Remove the staples binding the magazine with a stapler remover. Secure the free pages on a table with a paper weight. Cut the magazine spine with a utility knife so that each page is separated.

    • 2

Initiate the scanning software and scanner. Manually place the magazine pages on the scanner bed in page order. Save your work every 20 pages in case the software crashes.

    • 3

Name the magazine files according to the publisher, date and page number. Start Microsoft Word suite or another word processing suite. Open the image files of one magazine and place them into the Word document. Select "Image Preview," and convert the document into a PDF file and save your work. Categorize the PDF files according to the publishing year and date.

Clamp the loose-leaf pages of a magazine with C clamps and stack them lengthwise between two hardcover books. Apply a layer of all-purpose wood glue where the previous binding formerly was. Allow the magazine to dry for up to 1 hour. Repeat the process for additional magazines once digitized.
