Sog Seal Pup Vs. Seal Pup Elite

The SEAL Pup and the SEAL Pup Elite are fixed blade knives manufactured by SOG Specialty Knives and Tools. They are made to withstand heavy use and the elements.
  1. Blade Features

    • The SEAL Pup consists of AUS 6 steel and features a partially serrated edge and a powder coating. The blade length is 4.75 inches by .16 inches. Four different knives make up the SEAL Pup Elite line. The Black TiNi and TigerStripe feature partially serrated edges made of AUS 8 steel and with a 4.85 inch by .185 inch blade length. The Black TiNi has a hardcased black TiNi finish while the TigerStripe has a tigerstripe black TiNi finish. The other two knives in the SEAL Pup Elite line are the Straight Edge and the Straight Edge Black TiNi. Both have straight edges as well as 4.85 inch by .185 inch blade length and are made of AUS 8 steel. The Straight Edge has a satin finish while the Straight Edge Black TiNi has a hardcased black TiNi finish, like the Black TiNi.

    Knife Features

    • While all four of the SEAL Pup Elite knives feature an overall length of 9.5 inches, the SEAL Pup is slightly shorter at an overall 9 inches. The shorter knife has a glass reinforced handle with a reinforced diamond pattern for secure gripping. The longer knives have injection molded glass reinforced handles as well as blade spine rasps.
