Zippo Lighter Refill Instructions

Refilling the lighter fluid in a Zippo lighter is not an overly complicated process like it can be with some other lighters. It doesn't call for any special tools and it is not a very time consuming task. You should be able to do it in less than five minutes.

Instructions

      Lift the top to open it.

      Slide the bottom cover down and off the lighter.

      Pull the internal wick assembly up and out, separating it from the cover.

      Flip the wick assembly upside down to reveal the base pad. Insert the assembly in the top of the cover while it is upside down to temporarily balance it.

      Pull the felt base pad up and pour the lighter fluid directly into the reservoir until it comes up over the top of the fill pad. Work in reverse to reassemble the lighter.
