Phileas
The Waterman Phileas series not only features fountain pens, but also includes ballpoint pens and pencils. It is the only Waterman pen series to have the additional pencil writing utensil. The name of this pen derives from the character Phileas Fogg, in Jules Vernes' classic novel "Around the World in 80 Days." The price range is from $30 to $1,000 for high-end pens. These pens have a '30s Art Deco style. The pen is convertible, which means it can be opened, and can use bottled ink or an inkpen cartridge. Various colors sold for this Phileas pens include black, blue, red and green.
Edson
The Edson is one of the most popular series of Waterman pens and is known for its use of metallic black and platinum coating. This pen comes in fountain and ballpoint pen models. The Edson series also features the Limited Edition Sterling Silver Fountain Pen. This pen has a pure sterling silver husk and a rhodium-plated gold nib. The price of this limited edition pen runs as high as $1075. Another pen in the Edson series is the Limited Edition 125th Year Anniversary fountain pen. This Waterman pen series comes in black or blue ink.
Serenite
The Waterman Serenite pen is noted for the curvature in the middle of its body. These pens are able to stand upright on a flat surface because of the flat surface on both ends of the pen. The Serenite series also uses different objects for its exterior design, such as snakeskin and mother of pearl. The nibs of the pens are 18-karat gold and have a palladium plating. Serenite models include the Serenity Blue, which uses solid silver lining in its design, and the Serenite Wood, which uses lacquer-polished Cocobolo wood for its casing. All of the Serenite pens have the word "France" engraved on the bottom end of the pen.
