How to Get a Case Knife Repaired

W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is an American-based company known for making quality pocketknives, hunting knives, sport knives and collectibles. Begun in upstate New York in 1989 by a group of four brothers and named after their father, Case has developed a loyal customer base among knife collectors. Renowned for the high quality of their knives, Case offers a lifetime warranty on their workmanship and materials. The best way to obtain a repair on a Case knife is to return it to the company so a qualified craftsman can restore it to working order.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine whether the damage to your knife is a defect in workmanship or materials or if it has occurred through wear and tear or misuse. You can still return your knife to Case for repair or replacement in either situation, however, a repair charge may apply to knives that are not defective under the warranty policy.

    • 2

Package your knife securely in a cardboard shipping box or a padded envelope.

    • 3

Include a note which details the issue with the knife. Also include whether the knife has sentimental or collectible value to you. If the knife cannot be repaired, it is Case policy to replace it with the same or a similar knife under warranty. In the case of sentimental or collectible value to the owner, Case will return the original knife rather than replacing it.
