Instructions
Spread the soft cloth on a firm work surface. Lay the watch face down on the cloth.
Find the watch band bracket on either side of the watch case. Inside the bracket, a spring bar holds the watch band in place. This tiny spring loaded bar presses into two lugs, one on either side of the bracket.
Insert the spring bar tool into the side of the watch band bracket. The spring bar tool is a thin strip of strong metal usually found in craft or jewelry supply stores. If a spring bar tool cannot be found, a small spatula or even a thin screwdriver can be substituted.
Press the spring bar tool toward the center of the watch band bracket. This depresses the spring bar and the watch band will pop out of the bracket.
Insert the spring bar into the new watch band. Some new watch bands have spring bars installed by the manufacturer.
Press one side of the spring bar into the lug on one side of the watch band bracket. Slide the other end at an angle so that the end of the spring bar is behind the second lug. Gently pull the watch band forward until the spring bar slips into the lug.
