Changing the Watch Band
Locate the watch band bracket on the side of the watch. The watch band is held in the bracket by the spring bar whose ends fit into lugs on either side of the bracket.
Insert the spring bar tool into the side of the bracket. The tool is sold in craft stores and jewelry supply stores. If a spring bar tool can't be found, any thin strip of metal will work. Try a butter knife or a very thin screwdriver.
Press on one end of the spring bar and pry the bar free.
Insert the spring bar into the slot of the new band.
Slip one end of the spring bar into its lug. Slide the other end of the spring bar behind the lug. Gently pull the spring bar forward until the end of the bar slips into the lug.
Changing the Battery
Lay the watch upside down on a soft cloth.
Inspect the edges of the back. There will be a small indentation between the watch case and the back.
Insert the spring bar tool into the slot and pry the back form the watch.
Pry the battery out of the watch. Place the new battery into the appropriate spot.
Place the back of the watch on the case. Press the back until it clicks in place.
