South Jersey Car Shows

Car shows offer enthusiasts an opportunity to show off and view some of the classic and exotic cars of the past. New Jersey car shows start in February. These annual events feature a variety of activities and the proceeds often benefit local charities. Opportunities may also be available for individuals to buy cars on display.

Atlantic City
- The Atlantic City Classic Car Show and Auction takes place in February of each year at the Atlantic City Convention Center. This weekend event is $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under, as of 2011. In addition to viewing classic, restored and vintage cars, visitors can make bids and purchase their favorite cars during an auction. Some of the cars shown at previous car shows include a 1922 Ford Model T, 1962 Chevrolet Corvette LS-1, 1950 Oldsmobile 88 Holiday and 1957 De Soto Firedome.

Skimmer Weekend
- Located in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, the Skimmer Weekend Antique Show was set to mark its 50th annual car show in June 2011. The Sea Isle City Historical Museum and Sea Isle City Tourism Commission sponsor this event. Pre-registration for vehicles is $6 for 2011, and the show is open to all authentic, non-modified vehicles through 1991. Free t-shirts are available to the first 100 registrations and all proceeds of the event go toward the Volunteer, Sea Isle City Ambulance Corps.

Boardwalk
- The Boardwalk National Car Show holds this annual event in May and was set to celebrate its 19th year in 2011. Held in the Wildwood Convention Center, New Jersey, this car show gives out prizes for best of show, ladies choice, best engine, best paint, lowest car and most likely to get pulled over. In addition to looking at cars, visitors can enjoy a street festival, food and drink, and a DJ.

Cars and Stripes
- The Cars and Stripes Car Show in May uses proceeds for the event to support the troops and takes place in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. As of 2010, registration for the event is $15 and various prizes are awarded. In addition to classic and erotic cars, the car show features a NASCAR classics section.
