Engine Specifications for a 1947 John Deere G

The John Deere G tractor was built from 1937 to 1953. From 1942 to 1947, the war-time tractors were designated as model GMs, for G modernized. After 1947, they reverted back to Gs. They were commonly called Johnny Poppers or Poppin' Johnnies for their distinctive putt-putt exhaust sound.
