Southeast Street Rod Nationals
The Southeast Street Rod Nationals is an annual event held in Tampa at the Florida State Fairgrounds and is hosted by the National Street Rod Association (NSRA). The NSRA holds annual events throughout the United States. The Tampa event for 2010 is scheduled to be held Oct. 8-10. The event typically takes place each year during the second weekend of October. Classic cars are showcased at the event and street rods are highlighted. Cars on display include classic automobiles from the 1930s as well as current makes and models that have been outfitted for street racing. The classic cars on display are positioned so that guests can view both the inside and outside of the vehicles, and most of the engines are on display as the hoods are left open. The event has food and merchandise vendors as well, and various awards are distributed throughout the event.

Tampa Bay Classic Chevy Club
The Tampa Bay Classic Chevy Club hosts an annual event that features classic Chevrolet cars. The event is called the All Chevy Car Show and is held in March. The 2010 show was held on March 13 and featured 175 cars, including classic Chevrolet's of all styles and models. There are vendors located throughout the event that sell merchandise such as shirts and hats. There are also food and drink vendors selling items such as hot dogs, soda, water and snacks. The event is hosted at the University Chevrolet dealership, and admission is free. Cars displayed have the hoods and doors open on some of the classic cars so spectators can look inside.

Sunshine Dragstrip
The Sunshine Dragstrip is in Clearwater which is on the outskirts of Tampa and in the Tampa Bay area. The strip is an operational racing venue that hosts an ongoing series of events and drag races. The Heads Up Madness classic car event is held once per month. Some of the featured cars include classic dragsters. Spectator admission fees vary depending on the event, and the venue has facilities such as food stands, merchandise vendors and restrooms. Spectators can sit in the bleachers to watch the races. Overnight camping and RV parking is available.
