How to Keep Collector's Patches

Collector patches must be kept flat and in a place where they will remain clean and dry. A large matted picture frame will display them best in your home. Patches for sale should be kept in glass top storage cases or in a photograph album so you have easier access to them. The patches can also be separated into themed displays by putting all of one type or size of patch in a frame to itself. Even if you only have a few patches, they can be arranged in an attractive display everyone will enjoy.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay out the patches on the table. Separate them according to size and theme. For example, put all military patches together or all scout patches together.

    • 2

Decide on a design for placing the patches. Form a circle of the round larger patches. Eight to 10 patches should be sufficient to make a nice display.

    • 3

Place a smaller group of four or five patches in the center of the first group to make a nice presentation.
Keep the theme the same if possible. Put only one type of patch in the frame.

    • 4

Place two strips of double-stick tape on the backs of the patches one by one and place them in their corresponding position on the mat board.

    • 5

Place the mat board in the frame so they will be visible from the front. Replace the backing on the frame and hang it on the wall. Use a picture frame hanger to attach it to the wall.
