Border Town
Use your vintage calendar artwork to inspire your décor for a room or hallway. Frame your vintage calendars in identical black wood frames with white mattes to give them a museum-style presentation. Hang them in a neat row along the upper part of a hallway or around the upper 1/3 of a small room like a bathroom to create a visual-art border. Accessorize the space with colors that match dominant colors from the artwork to tie it all together.
For example, if you are using a vintage calendar with floral drawings, accessorize the display by placing matching colored pillows on side chairs or using coordinated towels in a powder room.
Tabletop
A square or rectangular dining table is a comfortable place to gather for meals and conversation. When you place a clear glass tabletop over the wood, you create an eye-catching place to display your vintage calendars to delight guests and inspire conversation. Flatten vintage calendar pages and lay out in an organized way to fill the table space or place one or two vintage calendar sheets at angles to give the display a more haphazard and casual appearance.
Sofa Block
Grouping similar artwork together gives it a more formidable presence, so use your vintage calendar pages in a collage-type display to give the images a greater appeal. Frame the images separately in matching frames and then hang tightly together in two rows and six columns or three rows and four columns.
Conversely, you can place all the vintage calendar pages in one large custom frame to hang over a long sofa or on a wall behind a dining nook.
Book Covers
Make color copies of your vintage calendar sheets and use them to wrap hardcover books to display on your desk or bookshelf. Many vintage calendars feature stunning, colorful artwork and illustrations such as classic pin-up girls, animal prints and images of rosy-cheeked children that make a unique artistic display for any space.
