The Original 13
The first 13 Puffkins compromise the original release by Swibco and are much sought after by collectors as many of these are no longer produced. The original 13 Puffkins: Honey (bear), Gus (moose), Chomper (beaver), Peter (panda), Lily (frog), Benny (black bear), Shelly (turtle), Nutty (squirrel), Lucky (rabbit), Aussie (koala), Bandit (raccoon) and Paws (cat). These items are most popularly found on public auction sites sold individually by private collectors.
Second Generation Puffkins
Puffkins were discontinued until 2007, when Swibco resurrected the plush toy line. This line was the return of former Puffkins along with newer friends for existing discontinued toys. Puffkins' second generation featured Hopper (frog), Elmer (turtle), Trego (black bear), Pandora (panda), Kokie (koala), Duncan (dog), Destiny (white rabbit), Beverly (beaver), Chippy (squirrel), Bailey (cat), Cheyenne (raccoon), Melvin (moose), Jack Quack (duck), Dillon (lion), Terence (tiger), Truffles (pig), Molly (mouse), Gomer (gorilla), Emerson (elephant), Barnie (cow), Peabody (penguin), Otto (owl), Garlic (skunk) and Beatrice (ladybug).
Limited Edition Puffkins
Limited edition Puffkins were created by Swibco for holidays and special events from 1997 to 2002, when the line was discontinued. The first special edition toys came in Halloween 1998 with Red (devil), Ding (bat), Hazel (witch) and Gourdy (pumpkin). Christmas 1998 saw the creation of Ho Ho (Santa), Flurry (snowman) and Jingles (green bear). The Puffkins line continued to release special edition plush toys for each holiday (Christmas, Halloween and Easter) up until the line was discontinued in 2002.
