Things You'll Need
Instructions
Research the various types of collectible glass bells to determine the kind of collection you want. You may be looking for low cost bells that you can pick up at most souvenir shops, or you might want the higher quality artistic bells. Also decide if you want a theme---for example, engraved bells, glass wedding bells or bells decorated with the names of cities you've visited.
Choose an appropriate shelf to display your bells. This can be anything from a small hanging shelf to a large wardrobe with crystal doors for viewing. Find an appropriate place in your home for the shelf, keeping in mind that it's best for the glass bells not to be within reach of children.
Purchase books that provide information on collectible bells, including their history, region of origin, designers, artists, makers and current value. Two suggestions are "Collectible Glass Bells of the World" and "Fifty Years of Collectible Glass."
Search the Internet or phone book for shops that sell glass bells, if you travel frequently. When you purchase a bell, keep track of the location, maker, age and price you paid in your notebook.
