The year of copyright for each figurine is stamped on the bottom along with the title of the piece. Older figurines can be more desirable for collectors, because they have different coloring and designs than newer ones.
Status
The status̵2;suspended, retired or still in production̵2;is important to consider as well. Retired figurines are worth more because they are no longer being produced for market.
Condition
Figurines in excellent condition garner more money than ones that have not been well-preserved. Figurines should not be scratched, damaged or broken. Also, having the original box in excellent condition can increase the value.
Rarity
Some Precious Moments figurines were produced in limited quantities, raising their value for collectors. Some limited edition figurines are worth more as well. Possessing each piece in a set increases the overall value. The one-of-a-kind ̶0;Lighted Inn̶1; figurine is one of the only lighted pieces, making it more valuable.
