Things You'll Need
Instructions
Mount a display case with front glass doors to the wall of the room you will be displaying your Godzilla figures in. Be sure to mount the case directly to wood wall studs to help make the cases stable.
Paste pictures of a continuous blue sky to the back of the display case. You can find a blue sky picture on the Internet and then have it printed in color. One of the trademarks of a Godzilla movie is the contrast of Godzilla against the blue sunny sky. Since your Godzilla figures are probably dark, trying to set up a backdrop that is night time may not allow your figures to stand out as much.
Set up trees from model train kits at various points along the backdrop. Try to keep them clustered together to give the impression of a forest. Godzilla movies used forests as backdrops for Godzilla fight scenes on several occasions.
Print out pictures of explosions and paste them on your sky backdrop at various points along the display. Make sure that the origin of the explosion is kept at the bottom of the display, and hidden by the trees.
Place a line of toy trees along the very front of the display. Use the paste to hold these trees in place. Make sure it is a thick line of trees at least two rows of trees deep.
String red flashing Christmas lights behind the front row of trees. When you turn the Christmas lights on, they will help to make your explosion pictures stand out, and they will also look like explosions themselves.
Install a small lighting fixture in the top corner of your display case that has a brown-colored or orange-colored bulb in it. You can find these colors as earth tones in the decorative lighting department of your local home improvement store. The soft color makes the sky look a little ominous, and it also helps to make the red explosions stand out as well.
