How to Make Tiffany Silver Shine

Owning a piece of authentic Tiffany silver jewelry can make anyone shine. Tiffany is known for its exquisite craftsmanship and the overwhelming beauty of its rings, necklaces, bracelets and all other jewelry pieces. If the shine begins to fade from the jewelry, however, it can ruin the appearance, sophistication and beauty of the piece. Proper care and cleaning of your Tiffany silver can keep the jewelry shining for years.

Things You'll Need

Water
Dish detergent
Cotton cloths
Silver polish

Instructions

  Fill a small bowl with warm distilled water; distilled water is suggested, as tap water can contain chlorine that can damage the silver. Mix in a few drops of mild dish detergent (such as Ivory or Dawn) until it forms suds.

  Soak the corner of a cotton cloth in the cleaning mixture and rub at the surface. This basic cleaning will remove dirt, fingerprints, smudges and other contaminants on your jewelry.

  Rinse the jewelry in plain warm water and dry thoroughly with a clean cotton cloth.

  Soak the corner of a clean cotton cloth in silver polish and buff the Tiffany silver to restore shine. Polish will be available at jewelry retailers.
