Things You'll Need
Instructions
Choose a wall that has the most area for viewing. Your poster should hang so that there is twice as much space above it as there is below. The bottom should be at least four inches from the top of any furniture that is up against the wall. See the References section for more information on hanging wall art.
Purchase poster glue dots. These are permanent glue circles that can easily be applied to the back of the poster. They are relatively safe for painted walls but strong enough to hold a large poster in place.
Lay the poster face down and line the back with glue dots. Place them in a pattern going down the sides and middle of the poster. There should be one glue mark positioned at every foot of the poster going down and across, like a checkerboard.
Ask a buddy to grab one side of the large poster while you get the other side. Ask another buddy to stand a few feet away from the poster as you hang it to give directions and assure that you are lining it up correctly.
Secure the top left edge of the poster to the wall and then work your way across with the palm of your hand. Allow your buddy to secure his side after you have finished with yours to assure that it is flat against the wall with no bubbles. Then work your palms down the surface at the same to secure the rest of the poster to the wall.
Apply an extra glue dot in the very corners of the poster if they are pulling up from the wall.
