Instructions

  1. Display Rolling Pins on a Wine Rack

    • 1

Look for a wine rack that matches your kitchen decor. Wine racks come in a wide array of styles, colors and materials, so you can easily find one that is in harmony with your style and taste.

    • 2

Find a wine rack with enough slots to hold and display your rolling pin collection. There are wine racks with just a handful of openings, and others with dozens of slots. Select one that is appropriate for your rolling pin assortment.

    • 3

Slide rolling pins into the slots of a wine rack. Bottles of wine and rolling pins are similar in length and circumference, so the pins will fit nicely into the cavities of a decorative wine rack.

Display Rolling Pins in a China Cabinet

    • 4

Lay rubber shelf liner on the shelves of the China cabinet. These non-slip mats will prevent the rolling pins from slipping or falling.

    • 5

Tuck the rolling pins behind the glass cabinets of a China hutch.

    • 6

Lay the rolling pins flat on the shelves, or stand them at a tilt, with one handle up against the back of the cabinet.

Display Rolling Pins in a Shadow Box

    • 7

Place a large shadow box on a flat, level surface, such as a counter, table or floor.

    • 8

Set the rolling pins in the box as you want them displayed.

    • 9

Mark a small line just below the center of each handle using a pen, pencil or chalk. Remove the rolling pins from the shadow box and set them aside.

    • 10

Drill holes into the marked spots. Insert a small dowel into each hole.

    • 11

Attach the shadow box to a wall. Suspend the rolling pins on the dowels.

    Display Rolling Pins on Pegboard

    • 12

Lightly sand the front and sides of a sheet of pegboard. Be sure to smooth away any rough areas.

    • 13

Apply a thin coat of primer to the front and side edges of the pegboard. Allow the primer to dry completely, which may take 30 minutes to an hour.

    • 14

Roll on a thin coat of latex paint in a color that coordinates with your decor. Coat the front and sides of the pegboard. Allow it to dry completely.

    • 15

Mount the pegboard on the wall. Decide where you want to hang rolling pins and insert dowels into the holes on the pegboard to hold the handles of the pins. If the holes are clogged with paint or are too small for the dowels, use a drill to clean out or enlarge them.

    • 16

Suspend your rolling pin collection on the dowels in the pegboard.
