How to Make Your Own Sport Trading Cards for Free

Sport trading cards are very popular among collectors and hobbyists. Many fans of a sport are likely to collect cards that allow them to view the statistics of a player as well as an action image of the player. Fans and amateur players may even create their own sport trading cards using free online software and a color printer. These cards can be used for local clubs and teams as well as for promotion of community activities and events.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit the Go Deck Yourself website linked below. The Go Deck Yourself free online tool allows you to quickly and easily create cards for fantasy, sports and other games.

    • 2

Register for a new account and log in to the website. From the main login page you can view others' decks to get a feel for what format you would like for your own cards. You can also ask for assistance from veteran card designers on the forums.

    • 3

Click "New Deck" in the upper righthand corner when you are ready to begin making your cards. You will have to save your deck under a name and choose whether you wish it to be available to all Go Deck Yourself members.

    • 4

Review and accept the terms of use to begin creating your deck. The terms are important because they ensure that you are aware of the possibility of legal infringement and you verify that you have the rights to all images, likenesses and other information you put on your cards.

    • 5

Select a template and add your own images, statistics, names and other information to your cards. Once you have finished, save your cards to your deck.

    • 6

Download the .pdf file available at your deck's homepage and print it on your card stock. You can cut out each card and then trade the cards with your friends. Double-sided cards will require two printings, one for each side, on most printers.
