How to Condition Hair of My Little Pony Toys

One of the greatest things about My Little Pony toys is being able to brush and style the pony's flowing mane and tail. Unfortunately, after a while, the nylon hair starts to lose its luster or may get tangled or ratty. Although it is possible to condition the hair of My Little Pony toys, many people aren't quite sure how to go about doing it or worry they will damage the toy. However, conditioning the hair of My Little Pony toys actually is quite simple and can be done with just a few simple steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Wash the hair of the My Little Pony toy. You can do this by using regular soap, dishwashing soap, or even your own shampoo. Try to remove as much dust, dirt or foreign objects as possible.

    • 2

Put hair conditioner on the hair while it is still wet. You can use any type of hair conditioner you want, but leave-in hair conditioner tends to work the best. Use a small dab about the size of a dime.

    • 3

Massage the conditioner into the hair. This should take just a few minutes if the hair was already in good condition, but may take a bit longer if the hair was particularly tangled or rough.

    • 4

Take a small comb and brush the hair while the conditioner is still on. This should aid in removing many of the tangles and smooth some of the hair's shabbiness.

    • 5

Rinse the conditioner out of the hair, then allow the hair to air-dry.
