12 Days of Christmas

• Waterford has eight editions of the 12 Days of Christmas bells, so far. Each year the company adds a new Christmas ornament to the collection. All the bells are similar in shape, and are three inches in height. Every one comes with a functioning jeweled clapper. The Christmas Bell comes in a beautiful velvet gift box perfect for giving at Christmas. The verses of the popular Christmas carol are used as an inspiration for each bell's clapper and the inscription on the glass. For example, the "Partridge in a Pear Tree" bell features a tiny partridge resting on a pear. The bells are topped with loops of velvet rope, so they can be hung from Waterford's heirloom stands or hung on the Christmas tree.

Red Ornaments

• Waterford has colored glass ornaments too. Winter Celebration is the name of the collection of three red, hand-blown Christmas tree ornaments. The ornaments are also etched, which makes them look lighter than air. The etching features a gentle, allover snowflake pattern. The red ornaments are three inches in diameter with a blown hook on the top. They come in sets of three and are part of the Marquis collection of Waterford.

Times Square Angel

• Waterford issues special ornaments to commemorate each year. This year, the ornament is the 2009 Times Square Angel Ornament. This is a follow-up to 2008's Angel Ornament in the series, called "Let There Be Joy." The ornament features an angel shape and disc that are merged together to make a beautiful glass ornament. It stands about three and half inches high. The ornament hangs from a lovely silver keepsake ribbon. These two angels are celebration pieces that commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Times Square Edition.

2008 Collection

• Waterford made about a half dozen pieces for Christmas 2008. Each of these crystal ornaments are still available, but they are limited edition keepsakes. Some of the ornaments from 2008 are the Waterford Christmas Tree Ornament, 2008's Star Ornament, Victorian Mittens and Kells Cross, among others. Each of these ornaments has "2008" etched into the surface.

Star of Wonder Ornaments

• The Star of Wonder Ornaments represent the Star of Bethlehem. The three ornaments in this collection are gently hand-blown into two uniquely different shapes. These ornaments are a combination of satin and gold-finished glass, including one tree topper. This trio come in red, green and gold. They are shipped in a lovely storage box that you can use over and over to protect these family heirlooms.
