What Are Kitchen Fairies?

Kitchen Fairies are porcelain collectibles that are designed by G.G. Santiago. They were created for Enesco (a producer of giftware), and have become a popular collectible amongst figurine owners.

Creator
- G.G. Santiago was the creator of "Rainbow Brite" (a cartoon introduced in the 1980s), and once worked for Hallmark Cards.
Collection
- There are 24 Kitchen Fairy Series, with more than 150 individual fairy creations.
Decoration
- Some people adorn their kitchens with the collectibles, though some figurines have been made into Christmas ornaments.
Size
- Most figurines are no more than four to five inches tall.
Pricing
- Most figurines cost between $25 and $40. However, figurines that are no longer produced, and are therefore harder to come by, have a slightly higher value for collecting purposes.
Awards
- Santiago has received an Award of Excellence from "Collector Editions" magazine for his figurines.
