How to Sell Hotwheel Cars

More than 3 billion Hot Wheels have been produced since they were first introduced to the market in 1968. Today there are many collectors, both young and old, making it relatively easy for you to sell your old Hot Wheels collection. In fact, a 2003 study showed that Hot Wheels were the number one selling toy per unit during 2001 and 2002. This tutorial will walk you through steps that will help you to sell Hotwheel cars.

Box or bubble-wrap-lined envelope

  Decide on a selling method. There are a number of places where you can sell your Hot Wheels cars. You could sell on eBay or by placing an ad in the classifieds section of your local newspaper or on Craigslist.

  If you will be selling online, take pictures of the Hot Wheels cars that you plan to sell. It is best if you take multiple photos, capturing all sides of the cars (including the bottom).

  Research prices of Hot Wheels cars similar to the ones you are selling. The older the car and better the condition, the more it will sell for. An easy way to see what others have paid for Hot Wheels cars is by looking at closed eBay auctions.

  Put together descriptions of each of the Hot Wheels cars you are selling. Be sure to describe the condition, year and type of car in your description. Be sure to mention any flaws in the cars you are selling.

  When shipping your Hot Wheels cars to buyers, be sure to securely wrap each car in bubble wrap to avoid damage. It is best to ship the cars in a small box (packed so the car won't move around), however, you can also ship in an envelope lined with bubble wrap.
