How to Display Stuffed Animals

Most children love stuffed animals. The furry friends accumulate so quickly; you can soon find them all over the child's bedroom. Besides being a large upholstered footstool to put your feet upon, a hassock makes an ideal place to display stuffed animals. Organization is the key to keeping stuffed animals under control while keeping your child happy.

Instructions

  1. Displaying Stuffed Animals on a Hassock

    • 1

Collect all stuffed animals you want to display. Observe how many need to fit on the hassock.

    • 2

Push a comfortable, upholstered hassock into an out-of-the-way spot against a wall in your child's room.

    • 3

Take the biggest animals first. These will form the bottom tier. Arrange them on the hassock with their backs against the wall for support.

    • 4

Take the medium-sized animals next. You can match them by breed, color or size. Sit them in between and in the laps of the larger animals.

    • 5

Tuck the smallest animals in the laps of the medium-sized or large ones. Arrange them in places that will entertain your child. Put them on the heads or shoulders of bigger animals. Be creative so your child will laugh at the changes to her room.

    • 6

Place a small comfortable rug in front of the hassock once all animals are arranged above. Your child can either sit there to read, or put some animals on the rug while she shares the hassock with others.

    Displaying Stuffed Animals on Bookshelves

    • 7

Take a small three-shelf bookcase. Put it in your child's bedroom. It should ideally be close to her bed.

    • 8

Put the largest animals on the bottom shelf. You can also group them by type of animals--jungle animals as opposed to pets, for instance.

    • 9

Put the next medium-sized group of animals on the middle shelf. Again, you can arrange them by color, breed or another way your child prefers. You might place her favorites on the shelf that's easiest for her to reach.

    • 10

Put the smallest animals on the first shelf. Since they're small, you'll be able to crowd them together so they appear to be cuddling.

    • 11

If you're using open shelves, the process is finished. If you're using a closed bookcase with a wooden top, place your child's favorite stuffed animals here within easy reach of her bed.
